Otherworldly

Spanish Gothic

It is that time of the year again, when it is time to get in touch with your darker side. I am easing into it with a moody evening shot which features a flamenco-inspired dress and a distinctly gothic jewellery set together with a skin pale enough to suit a vampire. Two elegant poses from Be My Mannequin are used to show off this intriguing blend of influences. Mon Cher and Cara Mia release today at the Dark Style Fair where they are sold in an event-exclusive fatpack called Gothic Romance. After the event, they will only be sold individually and the fatpack exclusive couple pose En Garde will not be available.

The Marigold dress by the Dreaming Thicket features tiered flounces and a floral pattern and comes in three dark and three light versions. The sizes cover a broad range of female bodies, including both Slink bodies.

I first came across Rise Design at this year’s Fantasy Faire and I am really liking what they are doing with jewellery. I’ve been missing a go-to jewellery brand in Second Life for some years, but they may be a good candidate for that as I quite like their overall aesthetics. The Dante set is beautifully crafted and features a lovely set of textures for both metal and the gems.

The lovely pale skin is Winifred from alaskametro, which includes freckled and non-freckled versions. You’ll find her, and some gruesome add-on “makeup” at Salem.
