I promised more of a proper skin review for the Serene skin from Imabee and that is what you’ll be getting today, enhanced by a just a small part of the extensive jewellery collection released by aisling for the jewellery fair as well as an example of the massive set of manicures and pedicures recently released by alaskametro.
I was alerted to Imabee’s return to Second Life on Plurk as the skin previews posted there some time ago caught my eye. At the time, however, there were no Physique appliers and as that has fast become a criteria for trying on new skins, I decided to wait for that. When a new face was released just a few days ago I was reminded to check if appliers has been released and to my delight I found that this was the case.
For just L$150 you get a set of appliers (including a cleavage option) for all three tones available for Imabee skins - Petal, Stem and Stigma - and these will setup both your Physique body and your Slink hands and feet. Like the face, the body is on the softer side, with a very feminine shading. The breasts do not look overly large or harshly shaded and the stomach is nicely rounded. The back is nicely detailed and the bottom shading again looks quite soft and feminine. There are some areas that look at bit smudgy (such as on the side under the arms) and the nipples could have been a little sharper, but overall I quite like this body. It might not appeal to those who want a high-level of detail and realism, but I’ve personally always enjoyed switching between different styles and sometimes going for a softer, more hand-drawn look.
My matching manicure and pedicure is from alskametro and if you love metallics you really have to check out her recent collections. At just L$25 a piece you can afford to indulge in a variety of patterns and colours.
The Theia tiara, Edika necklace and Pendulum earrings are just a selection from the many new adornments released by aisling for the jewellery fair. They are all part of the Sortilege collection and come with a universal HUD that allow you to change all pieces that you wear with a single click. These pieces are less opulent than some of aisling’s other collections and could be worked into a variety of looks, not just those with a fantasy flair. The metal texturing on these pieces is particularly good, I think, and the styles are all quite elegant.
My hair is Helenia from Calico, a stunning over-the-top braid, and I am once again wearing some new mesh eyes from Mayfly, this time the Light Onyx colour. I am of course wearing Slink body parts and the photos are taken inside the Dreamy Genie Bottle by Trompe Loeil.
