About

Welcome to Hippoi Athanatoi, our corner of the web. After having run Westeros for a number of years, we decided a few years ago that it was time for us to get a personal site as well, where we could showcase things other than A Song of Ice and Fire that we are interested in. We do, for example, occasionally read other books, and then there's MU*ing, dogs and horses, studies, translation, etc.

The site is powered by the incredible ExpressionEngine, also used on Westeros. It handles a number of different tasks beautifully, from simple news blogs to encyclopaedias, character databases and log archives. Without it, we'd no doubt still be working on structuring the site.
