Dark Imaginations

Nomine and Tekeli-li are two of my favourite stores and that always makes for a good combination. In this case, a forthcoming skin from Nomine and one of Tekeli-li’s releases from Hair Fair (still open for another week). And that’s all that’s needed, save for a nifty place to photo. These shots are in fact taken on the sim where Tekeli-li can be found, a smaller version of the grand build that used to sprawl across a full sim but still with plenty to discover.

We’ll start with a look at the backside on this skin, called Magpie. I’ve grown quite fond of the latest skin releases from Munchflower and the backside gets two thumbs up from Ran. It is probably not a skin for those who enjoy a more photoreal look, but its a very nice look for those who like softer details and less grain.

I am wearing the China tone here, the lightest of the eight available tones.

The face is where I feel Magpie shows the most changes from previous Nomine skin. I found some of the earlier ones hard to fit to my shapes, but Magpie is a lot more versatile. The mouth feels quite different and it is really well done, perfect for a very sultry look.

This is also the China tone but here you are also seeing some of the many tattoo layer options that will be available for Magpie. The base skin here is the dark amethyst eye shadow and I am using the tattoo layer for less cleavage. I found the default breasts a little large for my tastes, but this layer is really nice. I am also wearing black brows (there’s a whole array of colours included) and the aeolian pink lips with the teeth option (each lip option comes with and without teeth).

In this last shot, I am use the Latte tone, which I believe is the third lightest. The base skin is the dark carbon makeup, once again worn with black eyebrows and less cleavage on tattoo layers, as well as dark red lips.

The hair, as noted, is one of Tekeli-li’s Hair Fair releases, called Ashtoreth. The ornaments are colour-changing as always, offering countless of options, and if you need an imposing fantasy hair style this may just be the one.

I am not sure when Magpie will be out at Nomine, though Munchflower has said “soon”. But in the meantime, why not take a(nother) visit to the Hair Fair before it closes?
