Zaara for Your Feet

A new release from Zaara, her first foray into footwear, reminded me to take a look at her next-to-last release as well and the whole combination gave me an excuse to feature items from two stores that have recently remodelled and revendored: Illusions and Adam n Eve. Illusions put up a gorgeous new store build earlier in the week and Adam n Eve is reopening a little later today. The skin I am wearing is one of several new releases that will be available then.

Style Notes & Slurls

Skin: Desire Tone 1 Artful by Adam n Eve
Hair: Dive Onyx by Analog Dog
Clothes: Syona Kurta Black, Maroon, Forest and Churidar Black by Zaara
Accessories: Illaida Mojri Saffron, Red and Mocha by Zaara, Madiyah by Illusions

To start with, a look at the ensemble as a whole. The Syona kurta from Zaara is another beautiful example of how she combines ethnic/traditional clothing with modern fashion. The colours and the patterns are absolutely gorgeous, and the neckline is very flattering. It is sold as single colours, in smaller packs according to different tones or as a full fatpack. You can also buy pre-made outfits with the kurta, the leggings and a scarf, or you can buy each piece individually. I opted for the “Earth” pack of the kurta and the black Churidar leggings to go with the “Warm” pack of the new Illaida Mojri shoes that Zaara was kind enough to drop on me. More about those soon.

The jewelery is part of the Madiyah set from Illusions, one of four Middle Eastern-inspired sets released for a previous Jewelry Fair. It is colour change for both the metal and the stone, making it very versatile. The skin, as noted, is from Adam n Eve. A mini-range of four makeups had been released earlier for the Desire skin (here seen in the lightest of four tones), but with the relaunch of the store there is now a full range of 12 makeups. The new vendors implemented all over the store allow for custom packs, gifting and group discounts.

As mentioned, the shoes are Zaara’s first foray into footwear, and that makes them particularly impressive. The shape is excellent (it actually manages to flatter the SL foot) and of course so is the texturing. They are, of course, the perfect compliment to much of Zaara’s clothing, especially the more ethnic pieces, and they are a very welcome release for those (like me) who sometimes get tired of the fact that shoes in SL seem to be about heels, heels and heels.

Not only do I rarely wear heels in RL, but as I spent a large part of my SL in less than modern clothing, flats that can fit in with such outfits are always great to have. And for summer these look like they will be lovely with all kinds of leggings and dresses. In fact, I’d happily take a few pairs in RL too. Like the kurtas, they are available as single colours, as small packs in various tones and as a full fatpack.

So, make sure to head over to Zaara to check these out, and when you’re done, why not see if Adam n Eve has reopened yet? It should be sometime today, unless SL misbehaves.
