RFL Clothing Fair: Adam n Eve

The SL Clothing Fair benefitting RFL opens tomorrow at 3 PM SLT. Just as last year the fair will consist of a total of 9 sims, with 8 of them built to represent the theme of “fashion cities of the world”. Each participating designer will have at least 4 RFL items in their store (and do make sure to shop from these so that you can take part in the photo contest) and many also offer exciting new releases. Its a fabulous chance to browse some of the best designers in SL and raise money for an important cause at the same time. It is, of course, also a fabulous chance to experience first-class lag, so make sure to travel lightly in terms of attachments.

The press preview isn’t actually starting for another hour, but I am going to be a little sneaky and at least offer a look at some of the new items offered by Adam n Eve at the fair. I’ve been itching to share these for a few days now. Plus, a new Exile hair and a brief look at Tuli’s Eva skin, which will be released on March 18th. I expect to do a more in-depth review of that soon.

Style Notes & Slurls

Skin: Eva Tone 6 01b by Tuli
Hair: Majandra Twilight by Exile
Clothes: Renegade Bomber Black and Plaud Ruffle Dress Red by Adam n Eve
Accessories: Renegade Boots Black by Adam n Eve

Sculpted elements and a bit of a tougher edge is what defines many of the Clothing Fair items from Adam n Eve this year. The plaid ruffle dress (here seen in red, which isn’t one of the fair colours but which will be available in the main store soon enough) can be both flirty-sexy and a bit edgier, and I really like the combination of sculpts and flexi in the skirt. I decided to combine it with two pieces from the Renegade collection (which also includes a camouflage-patterned top and a pair of pants); the bomber jacket and the boots.

The jacket combines sculpted pieces with a clothing layer, and does so quite well indeed. There’s some really neat detailing on the jacket, not the least in the zippers, and it goes perfectly with the boots. I should, btw, have included a close-up of those because they are also very cool in their own right, but that is what happens when Ran and I take photos past midnight. We’ll try to rectify that soon enough, though. Both jacket and boots will be available in several colours in the main store and in a limited selection at the clothing fair.

The lovely, tousled hair is one of the newest releases from Exile, Majandra. I continue to be impressed by the new textures from Exile, not the least the combination of sculpts and subtle flexi. The skin, finally, is the long-awaited new skin from Tuli, Eva, here seen in the next darkest tone. The skin isn’t out yet, you have to wait until the sim reopens on March 18th (and there will apparently also be new fantasy dresses then, which naturally has me interested), but she is definitely well worth the wait. Another gorgeous combination of photorealism and handdrawing.
