Mmm

The outfit from the Summer of Love fair that I am featuring today is perhaps not all that summery, but then again, neither is the weather we continue to have on our vacation. And given all the mist and rain I’ve seen of late (though, to be fair, we’ve been spared the worst of the rain), the lovely Empress & Hierophant sim felt just like home. Plus, it provided a perfect setting to shoot the Madeleine gown from Evie’s Closet in.

Hair: Marissa Crow by Truth
Clothes: Madeleine Red by Evie's Closet

Rather than light, pastely and summery, Madelaine is quite darkly gothic, with deep colours and rich, sumptuous fabrics. The square, lace-edged neckline and the bare shoulders and arms makes it wonderfully seductive. The texturing is, as always with clothing from Evangeline Miles, beautifully executed and the prim work very lovely. The skirt moves very well and the shape of the wrap around the waist as well as the train is just perfect.

The Summer of Love fair, which was setup to raise awareness about various mental health issues, runs until August 8th and the Madeleine gown (in this red colour and three other shades) is only one of many offerings available exclusively at the fair until it ends, so do make sure to pay it a visit.

I’ve paired the Madeleine gown with one of this week’s releases from Truth, Marissa (I can never resist a good curly long hair), and I am once again wearing the exotic and lovely Marina which should be out from Adam n Eve fairly soon. Only afterwards did I realize that that’s an awful lot of M’s. ;)
