Candy has a lot in common with Kim and July, the latest two releases prior to her, but the shading of face and body has been further refined and rebalanced. The cheekbones (a favourite detail of mine) are a little softer but still pronounced enough to give beautiful character to face. Candy very much looks like a woman rather than a girl to me.

At the time that I started this review there were four tones out. Just released today was a fifth, pale, so that one is not featured here. But having seen it I can say it looks really good and I am really glad Hart decided to provide a nice pale tone for this skin as I quite enjoy very pale and quite dark tones myself. My favourite of the four featured below is probably the tan, and I think Hart does a great job with the darker tones. No unsightly oranges here.

The shading on Candy is very nicely balanced between body and face, with no part standing out as too high or low contrast or as having too much shine. I would call the contrast and shine medium or a little less and add to that a good amount of skin texture detailing (such as birthmarks) which give depth and life to the final product. The breasts are nice and natural (with a cleavage option provided on an undershirt layer and on a 2.0 tattoo layer) and the bottom is very nice. It gets the all-important Ran-approval.

Candy’s face is very sophisticated, with lovely lips (that suit a variety of lip shapes), great eyes and a nicely shaded nose. And, of course, the elegantly accentuated cheekbones already mentioned. Personally, I don’t generally care for the “cute young girl” look that so many skins in SL have (especially not when such a face is paired with a body that definitely isn’t of the same age…), so Candy is a very welcome option for looking a bit more womanly.
