LivejournalI do love an excuse to get naked and new skins from PXL are a very good excuse indeed. The latest offering for us ladies is Dafne and she’s a pouty, pretty thing. I also ended up spending a hefty chunk of time sorting out a pair of prim feet to wear with the new anklets from Studio Sidhe.

Natural, feminine shading with a very good level of contrast and a nice amount of detail (just look at the elbows) has been a hallmark of PXL’s latest releases, and Dafne is no different. She has a gorgeous backside, certainly, and her front is no less appealing. The legs, in particular, caught mine and Ran’s eye. And the butt certainly caught his eye, too.
As always Hart has done a great job of incorporating the feedback of his beta testers in the final version of the skin.

Dafne comes in four tones; I am using the darkest (the light tan) in the location shots and showing the range in the closeups at the end.
In this shot I am wearing the gorgeous new anklets from Studio Sidhe which come in a selection of vibrant colours. I am not sure I’d ever wear these sort of anklets in RL, but I do love the look of this sort of foot (and hand) jewelry in SL. And Faery Sola has a knack for making them.
They are actually custom-fitted for the prim feet from Slink, but I decided to be stubborn and tried them with a pair of other prim feet. Or rather…these are actually the foot part from a pair of foot-shoes from Chopine’s and they are, I feel, some of the best feet in SL. They have a great shape, they’re not as long as most prim feet, and the texture has more detail than most which works better for the skins I use. The hud doesn’t have direct RGB input or a way of adding or subtracting colour, but since the feet are fully modifiable you can tint them by hand.
Overall, I think I did a passable job of extracting these feet from the shoes, removing the invisiprims to use an alpha instead and angling the anklets and the feet so they fit together pretty well. That said, for those less stubborn I can definitely recommend Slink’s prim feet; the anklets are very easy to fit with those, you may just have to slide them up or down a bit depending on your height.

The makeup selection for Dafne offers both drama and subtility. The standard range includes three different eye makeups (Nude, Glam, Extreme) and seven different lip colours (Nude, Pale, Bronze, Pink, Wine, Rose, Passion) and in addition to that there are some special makeups. The bolder eyes give Dafne a completely different feel from the less made-up eyes, making it suitable for a variety of looks, and the range of lip colours is very pretty and versatile.
In the third shot, with the SunKissed tone, I am also wearing the full-body freckle tattoo layer that comes with all skins.
In addition to a freckle layer, each Dafne makeup also includes three different brow colours (I used the medium for all these shots) and push-up cleavage on both the tattoo layer and as an undershirt. For extra value for your money, join the in-world PXL group to get a discount on each purchase.
