A Wednesday Wench

Ran and I have had a bit of a blogging burnout and a lot of RL to deal with, but now we have a few things lined up again. I’ll be starting off, with a look at three very nice acquisitions from the past few weeks; a gown from Evie’s Closet, a hair from Truth and the latest skin from Dutch Touch.

Style Notes & Slurls

Skin: IsiS Cotton Liner Red by Dutch Touch
Hair: Tia Ivory by Truth
Clothes: Nyria Black/Red by Evie's Closet
Accessories: Samara Black by Adam n Eve

The gown is the Nyria gown first featured as one of the WILD Released prizes. The specific colour-combination offered as a prize is no longer available, but there are six others to choose from. Black and red was, as always, a rather obvious choice for me, even though this gown has a bit of a rustic feel and works very well in less dramatic colours too. But this way I think it looks more like a grown-up Red Riding Hood than a friendly wench. ;)

The dress comes in two lengths and with two different sleeve options. There’s also a great belt/sash about the waist and of course the very nicely sculpted hood. I think it works quite well to wear either just the cowl part or both the cowl and the wrap.

A perfect fit for this style of gown is the thick single braid called Tia from Truth. I love these sorts of braids and I want all sorts of variations; messier, longer, no bangs, etc. I did have another candidate for a hair for this post, a new release from 69 featuring an even longer braid, but sadly it appears they have gone to no mod and resize scripting with their hairs. I am very glad that some hair creators, like Truth, are still being reasonable about permissions.

Finally, the skin is IsiS from Dutch Touch, a brand new release. This is a very regal, distinctive face which has a lot of character. As always, you get several options with each makeup; for IsiS they are dark and light brows, cleavage options and hairbase options. Eyelashes are also included. This particular makeup is available for free for members of the in-world Dutch Touch group (the cost to join is 250 L) and there are also two other makeups sold for 500 L for group members. The other makeups are 1000 L each and there are also packs available.
