Today at 4 PM SLT the Black & Blue Fair opens and the location of the fair will be revealed at that time. The purpose of the fair is to raise awareness of and destigmatise mental health issues through informative messages on the walls between the products featured at the fair and through notecards with information about various issues. The participating designers, which represent a wide variety of excellent stores, have all created brand-new designs for the fair and many have also contributed items to a 10 L section for shoppers on a budget.

For my first feature on the fair, I picked out three little dresses from League, Alexohol and Adam n Eve, to give you a taste of some of the items that will be available at the fair.

Style Notes & Slurls

Skin: Bianca by Adam n Eve
Hair: Michelle Crow by Truth
Clothes: Hitch Dress Black by League, Moonshine Dress by Alexohol and Camo Dress Black by Adam n Eve
Accessories: Margot Wedges Black by Adam n Eve

From League comes the Hitch dress in black which features a neckline that goes perfectly with skins that offer push-up cleavage and a sexy little skirt. The texturing looks great and the detailing on the straps is very nice.

A bit naughtier is the Moonshine dress from Alexohol, where the top certainly doesn’t cover everything. I am not sure I’d dare to dance in this particular dress. ;)

Finally, the Camo dress from Adam n Eve also features a very sexy neckline that isn’t for the shy and the pattern of the dress is a monochrome camouflage pattern. You’re not a girl to be messed with in this dress.

Skin: Bianca by Adam n Eve
Accessories: Margot Wedges Black, White II and Cranberry by Adam n Eve

The shoes are not from the Black & Blue Fair, but they are a teaser too. They’re Damen Gorilla’s upcoming release from Adam n Eve, a perfect pair of summery wedges. They will come in six colours and two variants; solid and striped. You will get them both with invisiprims and with the new 2.0 alpha layers. And as all other products at Adam n Eve, they will be sold in the brand new vendors that allow for custom packs, gifting and a group discount when you wear your Adam n Eve group tag.

And while I am teasing, I might just as well go ahead and point out the skin. She’s called Bianca and she will be the next skin release from Adam n Eve. Sachi still has some tweaking to do, but hopefully it won’t be too long before she’s ready.

To return to the subject of the Black & Blue Fair, it will run for about a month, so if it turns out to be very laggy when it opens, just give it a few days. But do visit, both for the shopping and for the cause; while the fair is not raising money for a charity, spreading information can be just as important. I don’t think its any secret that SL (and many other communities on the Internet) attract people who have a hard time in RL. It doesn’t mean we need to talk about it all the time—that’d get in the way of SL often being a much needed break from RL—but at the same time it isn’t healthy to feel you cannot talk about it at all.
