LivejournalAfter concentrating on producing historical and historically-inspired footwear for the newly-launched Chopine’s brand for some months, Naergilien Wunderlich has now released another of her historically faithful reproduction gowns. Given my particular tastes, of course I had to have it.
Skin: Genius II Copper Pepper by Cupcakes
Hair: Mena Burgundy by Truth
Clothes: Cranach Ghost by Wunderlich's
Accessories: Ami Amet Deli Pencet French Brooch Necklace by Alchemy Immortalis
Poses: LAP
The Cranach gown is photosourced from Naergilien’s own RL reproduction of the gown painted by Lucas Cranach for his “St. Mary Magdalene” painting. The gown belongs to be period 1500-1550 and is a particularly German dress style. It features a chemise under the bodice and slashed sleeves, reproduced for SL with some very clever sculpty usage. With some effort, I choose the grey “Ghost” colour, but there are 15 other colours to choose from, including the original red. Keep in mind that the gown uses a system skirt, so you will want to create a skirt version of your regular shape. I find that making the hips 10 points smaller and reducing the butt down to about 5 or less works well enough.
I already mentioned Wunderlich’s sister-brand, Chopine’s, and if you take a fancy to this gown you’ll want to visit there as well to check out the matching shoes. Since I am a bit on the short side, I am afraid that showing off shoes together with full-length dresses doesn’t work so well.
I paired the gown with the stunning French Brooch Necklace from Alchemy Immortalis and my hair is from Truth again and my skin a new acquisition from Cupcakes, from their Genius II line.
