While RL has drawn me away from SL more than expected these last days, not the least during the press preview of the Clothing Fair, I have managed to brave lag on a few occasions to do at least a bit of shopping. At the lovely Paris sim, I picked up Promise from the Black Canary.

Promise is another elegant and androgynous creation from Morrigan Denimore. It can be worn both with the coat & blouse or with just the blouse and the hat is also part of the ensemble. It is one of the four RFL items available in the Black Canary shop, the other three being a lovely dress and two lace bonnets.
The fit of the Promise outfit is definitely made for a slender avatar, and it took some prim editing to get the lapel chain on the coat to accommodate my breasts. But, it was definitely doable. The blouse sleeve puffs (which, btw, I feel could have been a little lighter in colour) are also a little tricky to size up for a thicker arm, but again, it can be done. Just something to keep in mind depending on your shape.
The overall impression is one of elegance, with great finishing touches such as the texture at the back of the coat which shows it laced up and of course the hat.
I paired the outfit with the Sleek boots from Adam n Eve for Viewer 2.0, also available at the Clothing Fair on the London sim. The hair is the gorgeous group-gift from lamb and the skin is the palest tone from Tuli’s forthcoming Eva skin.
