Ahoy There!

Swaffette Firefly knows just how to catch my interest. One of those amazing, all-around designers who can produce formals, casuals, and historical wear for avatars in SL, these brand new Captain Shirts are really very nice. Nice ... and ruffly.

Which is all to the good, when you feel up for a bit of swashbuckling (or New Romantic pop). The sculpts here are particula rneat, I have to say. Oh, the sleeves are very nice, and the collar with the sculptie lacing… but it’s the way the tucked/untucked look is handled that really caught my eye. It uses a sculpted prim to basically give you that pouching sort of look as you’d get when tucking in such a loose shirt. It makes for a very nice effect, in my opinion.

The shirts are sold in five different colors, including a black and a purple not shown here. As far as styling goes, I’m using a commercial shape of mine with Adam n Eve’s delicious Mohan skin. And, yes, I’m wearing a hair meant for women—but really, Jolie Femme makes some of the best looking long flexi hair… and it just so happens that that particular hair looks a bit like my own hair in real life when I don’t have it tied back. Heh. Couldn’t resist wearing it.

Always an excellent source for clothes for guys, SF Designs’s always going to remain near and dear to me for helping to indulge my fetish for historical costumes. I’m glad that tradition continues.
