Going for Brooke

I warned that there would be more skin reviews coming. First up today is the latest release from 5th and Oxford, the lovely Brooke. She launched a few days ago in three tones and five different makeup themes with six faces per theme. In short, Brooke offers lots of great, versatile looks to choose from, so there ought to be something for most everyone.

Skins: Brooke Fair Natural 1, Medium Natural 2 and Tan Natural 3 by 5th & Oxford
Hair: Stephanie Dusk by Jolie Femme
Poses: Reel Expression

Lets start with a look at the tones and the body as a whole. Brooke comes in three tone; fair, medium and tan. The fair is pleasingly light (a lot of skin lines don’t really offer a natural pale or fair that goes light enough) and the medium ought to suit those who want a bit of colour but not quite a tan. The tan, finally, is a fairly dark tone if we’re talking about tans as opposed to ethnically darker shades. The tones have increased saturation compared to the Audrey line, and I think this is a successful move, though I still find myself preferring the fair and the medium over the tan.

The body is also somewhat more high-contrast than it was for Audrey, and I think this too works nicely. There’s shine without any oiliness, and the skin texture (which includes a few little moles here and there, always a nice touch) also seems to have been brought out a bit more. The shading on the body is overall quite nice and natural, especially the breasts and the belly. The back is also quite pretty, though the shading on the bottom gets a little dark in some areas. There are some small seams left, such as on the side, though that takes some close inspection to find.

Skins: Brooke Fair Kitty 6, Medium Kitty 5, Fair Nightfall 4 and Medium Nightfall 6 by 5th & Oxford
Hair: Stephanie Dusk by Jolie Femme
Poses: Reel Expression

As mentioned, the skin launches with five makeup themes; Natural, Kitty, Nightfall, Rebel, Rebel and Subtle. I showed some of the Natural makeups on the body shots, and here I am showing some examples of Kitty and Nightfall. As always when Roslin Petion has been creating makeups you can expect a good selection of really well-done and versatile looks.

Each theme includes six faces, where some of them are freckled. I must say the freckling is very nice and suits Brooke quite well. The brows are mod, btw, so she can just as easily be blonde or black-haired. But I think she makes a lovely redhead.

Skins: Brooke Fair Rebel, Rebel 4, Medium Rebel, Rebel 6, Fair Subtle 2 and Medium Subtle 5 by 5th & Oxford
Hair: Stephanie Dusk by Jolie Femme
Poses: Reel Expression

This set shows makeups from the Rebel, Rebel and Subtle lines, and what a good way of show-casing the different looks you can get out of Brooke. She can definitely be paired with a wide variety of fashions, and I feel that the face is certainly quite versatile and likely to suit a range of shapes.

The price of Brooke is another excellent point of this skin; single skins are just L$ 600 and by buying store cards you can get even lower than that. A card with a value of L$ 3600 costs L£ 2400 and it allows you to pick and choose which makeups and tones you want entirely freely.

So, get yourself over to 5th and Oxford to do some demoing. And make sure to check out their other items while you’re at it, not the least the sexy lingerie which should look fabulous on Brooke if you don’t feel like being entirely naked in your new skin.
