Shapes, photography and fashion reviews by Ran Garrigus and Freyja Nemeth. This blog has been replaced by the Otherworldly blog.
LivejournalI’ve been very lax in my blogging duties of late, but I’ll try to improve, promise! Here’s a look at two of the latest hairs out of Wasabi Pills, who are making some very interesting unisex hairs these days.

Hair: Kyler (Dark Brown, Flame, and Royal Purple) by Wasabi Pills
When I first saw this hair on its release, I rushed out and bought a copy ... only to have proprietress MissAllSunday Lemon drop me a review pack shortly afterwards, which was very kind of her! Unfortunately, First Life has kept me too busy to blog as much as I wanted, so this has been sitting and waiting for me to give it a proper review. Kyler’s a neat hair, because it comes in two parts. This is not entirely unheard of in the world of women’s hair, but I think it’s not quite so common in men’s hair (though I suppose this hair could be treated as unisex). In any case, the hair actually comes in a standard version, and then it comes with a two part version. The two-part version attaches the longer part to your upper body rather than to your head—which means it’s always fixed in place, perfect for those photos where just the slightest tilt sends long tendrils stabbing in and out of your body.
It’s particularly suitable for the sort of wet hair look—in fact, I believe the promotional image featured an avatar half out of the water—given how the hair is treated as fairly solid ropes. It’s pretty cool. And if you’re out and about, there’s always the single object version!
Skin: Dylan t4 (Clean Shaved) by Adam n Eve
Hair: Mahican (Blonde, Graphite, and Sky) by Wasabi Pills
And now the latest hair release from Wasabi Pills, the Mahican. A unisex style, I’m guessing the name is derived from the proper spelling of the Mahican tribe of Native Americans, from which we get “mohawk”. I bet you can see why MissAllSunday chose that name. ;) This is a great hair style, especially well-suited for the roleplayers out there who might find this useful in post-apocalyptic, urban, or general fantasy roleplay. The fall of hair down the side, with half the scalp bare, has a wild, almost savage look. Very moody, and very well-executed. I love the textures at Wasabi Pills, and there’s a great variety from perfectly normal shades to rather more colorful hair styles.
Both of these are certainly great looks, and nothing else out there is quite the same. Definitely something to check out, especially among the roleplay crowd I think. I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next.
