Royal Red

I saw the latest dress from Evie’s Closet on the feeds a few days ago, but when I teleported over to check it out, I found that while there were lovely images on the wall, they were not yet set for sale. But now they are, so this morning I ran over to grab a copy. There was, of course, the usual indecision about colour. But Ran pointed out that the red was a very Lannister red. With our thoughts rather preoccupied with the on-going filming of the Game of Thrones pilot at the moment, that seemed like the perfect thing to base my decision on.

Style Notes & Slurls

Skin: Portia Tone 2 Blond Cherry with Corset Cleavage by Adam n Eve
Hair: The Killing Moon Wheat by Tiny Bird
Clothes: Elizabeth Red by Evie's Closet
Accessories: Dragonfly Charmer v2 Gold Earrings & Long Necklace by Eolande
Poses: LAP

Elizabeth is another beautifully executed fantasy formal from Evangeline Miles. The flexis flow beautifully, she has really mastered the art of making them swirl in a wonderful way, and the mixing of opaque and semi-transparent prims gives a beautiful effect. The silhouette can be simplified if one removes the collar, jacket and sleeves, but I think this gown is at its best like this. Two sizes for the prim skirt and the bodice ruffle is helpfully included, as well as a picture showing what it looks like correctly fitted. The gold circling the waist proved a little tricky for me, since I had to resize that separately in order not to drown in the skirt. But that’s unavoidable when you’re a little broader than the norm.

I paired the dress with a new release from Eolande, version 2 of her Dragonfly Charmer set. The set is available in four different metals, and with colour-change gemstones that offer nine different options. The set also includes a short necklace for a more casual look, a bracelet and an anklet. Right now the fatpacks of both the Dragonfly and Butterfly Charmer sets are on sale for half off. I am, btw, taking advantage of Emerald’s two attachments per attachment points feature to wear both the collar and the necklace.

The hair is Tiny Bird’s Killing Moon in wheat and the skin, since I needed light brows and since its just so darn beautiful, is Adam n Eve’s Portia. Worn,  of course, with the Corset Cleavage add-on, which is a must for a dress like this.
