Sultry Sienna

The Vanity Universe Skin Fair opens tomorrow, but one of the new skins that will be at the fair was actually launched yesterday, namely Ryker Beck’s latest creation for Exodi, Sienna. There was a great launch party on the Fusion sim last night, but now you can just slip over to the main store at any time to check this lovely lady out.

Sienna comes in four tones, and what I am showing here is the darkest, Nuit. I tend to favour quite light or quite dark over medium when it comes to most skins in SL, and since Sienna’s light tone isn’t quite light enough for me, the darkest is my pick from the range. For me there is also something about Sienna that makes a darker tone feel just right. In fact, I wouldn’t actually have minded if it was a bit darker,  but I know that’s not what generally sells. I recall that Ryker’s first line, Eden, had eight tones, including several quite dark options. But, they were much less popular than the lighter tones.

But enough rambling about that. :) Sienna is, as far as I can tell, a further development of the previous skins from Exodi. The body, however, has seen some notable changes, so its definitely not just a new face. I found Lily a little overly glossy and smooth, but with Sienna this seems to have been dialed back a bit. Its still a smooth, sleek sort of texturing, but the texture seems to have more real-feeling grain now.

The back is particularly good, with great shoulder blades, lovely detailing such as the little moles and a very nicely shaded behind. The front I am overall pretty happy with, though I am must admit that the bellybutton feels a little harshly done and groin looks a little oddly defined. It almost makes me think about doll joints, which breaks with the realism a bit. Other than that, though, it is a very sexy body. And yes, you do get cleavage options. I am using the regular cleavage for these shots, but there’s also a push-up version.

Style Notes & Slurls

Skin: Sienna Nuit Snow, Poker Face, Paparazzi and Ornamental by Exodi
Hair: Glow 10 Black by 69
Poses: LAP

Sienna is released with sixteen makeups, and each makeup includes (in addition to the cleavage options already mentioned) dark and light brows and the choice between no freckles and freckles. I am showing the freckled option on the first and last makeup in the image, and I like how they add additional grain and realism to the face.

The makeups are very nicely executed, and the selection is quite varied and sure to please, though a few more darker lips would have been nice. But, I suspect there will be more releases in the future, so this is an excellent start. The lips are definitely a highlight, they are beautifully shaped, and I am also very fond of the cheekbone shading. For me, it is a face with a bit of an exotic edge and a distinctly sultry quality rather than a sweet and innocent face, and I think it lends itself beautifully to the tilted eyes I have on this particular shape.

Sienna is priced at L$ 1000 for single skins and is also available in 4-packs and full-range packs for considerable discounts. You can also buy a Build Your Own Fatpack card which costs L$ 5000 and is good for any 8 skins at Exodi. That’s a fabulous way of getting exactly the skins you want. Exodi also has its own customer loyalty scheme where each purchase earns you Beck Bucks that can then be used for further purchases.
