LivejournalFrom naked and bejeweled to ready for battle in the latest release from Tekeli-li, as I try to catch up on last week’s acquisitions in preparation for various upcoming expos and fairs that I fear will result in much shopping.
This one is something for when you’re feeling feisty, and ready to hunt down a few orcs or similar critters. Or, perhaps, set to tackle the lag at one of the aforementioned fairs.
Skin: Kim LT CE Red by PXL
Hair: Andor Jet Black by Wasabi Pills
Clothes: Alecto Red by Tekeli-li
Alecto is a full outfit complete with armour, boots and a wicked-looking polearm. The armour can be worn as a combination of both prim pieces and clothing layers, or you can opt for a more Xena-esque look and skip the clothing layers. As with all prim clothing, editing will likely be needed, so do try the demo first to see how far off from fitting you it is. While I did need to edit the chest and hip attachments, it was relatively easy to do so given how very well fitted to the avatar mesh the pieces are. In particular, I really like how it follows the shape of the hips so closely. There is also a moddable shape included, and even if you don’t want to use that shape you can use as a guideline for tweaking your own shape if you prefer that to editing the prims.
Unlike most other offerings from Tekeli-li, Alecto is not scripted for colour-changing since it also includes clothing layers. It is, however, available in several different colours. For me, it came down to a choice between red and black, and I went with the red even though it did conjure up some unfortunate associations Terry Goodkind’s rather abysmal fantasy series. ;) However, there is something to be said for red clothes if you plan to kill a lot of things. I think I may also have to pick up the black at some point, if only to tease Ran further with the fact that there isn’t (not so far, anyway) a male version.
The hair is a male hair from Wasabi Pills which is perfectly unisex for this kind of look and the skin is my go-to skin for this particular shape, PXL’s lovely and exotic Kim. Those cheekbones are to die for.
