Shapes, photography and fashion reviews by Ran Garrigus and Freyja Nemeth. This blog has been replaced by the Otherworldly blog.
LivejournalI’ve already shown quite a bit of Audrey, 5th & Oxford’s first release, but when it comes to skins I feel that its not been a proper review until all the clothes have come off. So, today we’re getting up close and personal with the latest creation from Roslin Petion and CJ Carnot, formerly of Tete a Pied and Fleur.
Skins: Audrey Fair Fresh Freckles 2, Fair Smoky 2, Medium Fresh 1 and Tan Fresh 4 by 5th & Oxford
Hair: Afterglow Maroon by Cake
Like Allure, their last release as Fleur, Audrey is a hybrid skin that combines hand-drawing and photo-sourcing. In keeping with current trends, the contrast on Audrey’s body is stronger than that on Allure’s, but the skin texture is smooth and lovely, with just the right amount of detailing. I quite like the breast shading and the nipples, as well as the bottom (and the back in general), and the overall impression of the body is very pleasant. It has a soft and supple look which I think works both on slimmer and more full-figured avatars. There are some mild seam issues, but nothing glaring.
Audrey comes in for skin tones, fair, medium and tan, and I find that fair and medium are probably my favourites. There’s no pubic hair on the skin but three styles of tintable pubic hair is offered as a free add-on. The brows of the skin are also tintable, adding to the versatility.
Skins: Audrey Medium Fresh 5, Smoky 5, Smolder 1 and Smolder 2 by 5th & Oxford

For me, Audrey’s face is very sweet, but it can certainly look quite sophisticated in some of the makeups. After seeing some photos of it, I wasn’t sure how many versatile it would be, but I think it played quite nicely with a number of my shapes. The lips are certainly easy to work with and have a very pretty shape.
There are four different makeup styles available for Audrey; fresh, freckled fresh, smoky and smolder. Within each style there are six variations, offering plenty of options for lip colour, matte or glossy lips and also eye-shadow colour. The freckled fresh is a particularly lovely face if you want something young and sweet, and smoky is great for a more dramatic look.
With this skin Roslin and CJ wanted to return to their original idea of makeups as an accessory, and they have made the pricing of this skin very competitive. Single skins are L$ 600 and instead of fatpacks you can buy a card worth L$ 3600 for just L$ 2400 and with that you can pick any six skins, mixing matching from different makeup ranges and skin tones.
