Gypsy Magic

The latest release from Nomine is an impressive mix & match collection on a Gypsy theme, made all the better for having something both for guys and girls. So, once I had taken a quick look at the matching freebies—a set of belts in different fabrics and a set of jewellery—that came with the release notice, I got myself over to Nomine and proceeded to nag Ran to join me. Of course, before we actually got down to buying ourselves some Gypsy stuff, he was distracted by a gathering crowd at a mob vend for one of the new male skins from Nomine, which just happened to be in a very dark and swarthy tone…

Once he had his new skin, the choice of clothing was relatively quick for Ran. The male Gypsy collection includes a button-down shirt, a laced-up tunic, a vest and a pair of pants. He went for the latter two pieces (mostly because he couldn’t decide which colour of the tunic to get), and added one of the belts sent out to the group. The belts also come attached to each arm and across the chest, but those weren’t quite right for a guy.

For my own part, it was a much harder choice, and I suspect I will be going back for a few more pieces. For now, though, I picked out the wrap set which consists of the wrap top and the panties either with our without the sheer pants. The hip bells are also part of the set, and match nicely with the free jewellery (earrings, bangles and anklets) sent out to the group. It was just too bad that you can’t wear the prim parts of the pants with the anklets, though I think I might try rezzing out and combining the pieces together at some point.

Other sexy pieces from the Gypsy collection for women include, among other things, an underbust corset, a patterned jacket, a choli top, a skirt and a skin with and without fabulous-looking tattoos that I was very tempted to take home. Most of the pieces are offered on all applicable layers, and can be combined in several fun and sexy ways. You can go all-out for more of a roleplay look, or use just one or two pieces for added flavour in a more contemporary outfit.
