LivejournalOne of the first freebie skins I was lucky enough to get was the second generation of Tuli’s skins. I immediately took a liking to the charming look of the skin, and since then I’ve kept a close eye on Tuli’s output. Some skins have been too sweet for my tastes, but they’ve all had quite distinct personalities and the quality has just kept improving. The current range on offer in the store (which consists, I believe, of some 5-6 different skin lines) is uniformly excellent, and the latest addition, Hope, is certainly no exception.
Skins: Hope Pale Gala, Fair Natural, Sunkissed Avenue, Tan Gig and Dark Tan Blush by Tuli
Hair: Afterglow Maroon by Cake
The five skin tones for Hope are pale, fair, sunkissed, tan and dark tan. The tones are all quite pleasing, without any excessive orange in the tans, though I do know that there are those who feel it doesn’t go quite pale or dark enough. Personally, I think it is better not to push a skin towards unnatural tones, since not all skins are suited to all tones. But I can certainly understand wanting to have Hope in your favourite tone, because she’s lovely.
Tuli’s trademark for me in terms of bodies is smooth and yet detailed skins, and Hope certainly fits this pattern. The highlights are soft and pleasant, and the skin would no doubt look lovely on both slimmer and fuller shapes. The breast shading seems to work well with a bit of gravity (and likely without, too), the bottom is nicely rounded and the back details are subtle but good.

The shading on Hope’s face matches her body’s; soft, smooth and just very flattering. There’s a subtle glow to the face, but nothing too strong at all, and the individual features such as lips, brows and nose are all quite pretty. I tend to smaller lip shapes for most of my shapes, and Hope handles this quite well.
Tuli has also always been great at offering options such as brow colours and/or freckles for her skins. With Hope you get four different brow colours per skin; black, brown, light and red, and I am showing the red brow option. In terms of makeups, I believe there are 10 per tone to choose from, ranging from subtle and natural to quite vivid.
If you visit Tuli’s to try out some demos of Hope, make sure not to overlook the other skin lines if you haven’t tried those before. Hope is a versatile skin, but if she’s not quite your type, then maybe one of the others are. Tuli also offers a selection of clothes and poses, crafted with the same attention to details as her skins.
