Pale Pretties from Imagen

When Ran went over to Imagen to check out the new male skins, I followed along, and of course I ended up taking a look at Rack’s female skins. When you are a skin ... addict, you can’t help yourself. ;)

Rack was kind enough to pass some skins to me as well, so I will be following in Ran’s footsteps again and showing off Imagen’s two female skins, Lia and Irene. I am also, once again, showing off some eyes and jewellery from Miriel’s.

Like the male skins, these skins were created using Eloh’s and Sezmra’s templates, but Rack has definitely given her skins their own character, and unlike the source skins these hybrids fit very nicely on a pair of my shapes.

As with most hand-drawn skins, I found myself drawn to the lighter tones, which I often find don’t work as well for me on photoreal skins. Lia, seen in the first two images, comes in four tones, and shown here is the palest, Norte. Irene, to the right, comes in two tones corresponding to Lia’s two palest tones, and I am again showing Norte.

The bodies are very nicely done, with good breast shading (if a touch too round for my personal taste) and nice nipples, a very nice, softly toned stomach and a sexily detailed back with a great bottom.

Now, a closer look at the first face, Lia. I am showing four makeups from the sixteen available, and I tried to give a little sample of the various styles on offer. There are a few more or less natural options, such as seen in the first shot, and then a quite a variety of more vivid makeups. There are some subtle changes to how the lip shape comes out in some of the makeups; the second pick, for example, looks rather more pouty than the rest.

For me, Lia has a bit of a serious and rather refined face, given quite a bit of character by the subtle little moles and the pout of her lips. As with many hand-drawn skins, it is a versatile face that played nicely with several of my shapes. The versatility of the skin is also enhanced by the brows being modifiable, even though the colour changes are fairly subtle. If there’s anything I would have liked to see done differently, it is that there’s a lovely soft glow to the body that doesn’t quite seem to be matched in the face, which makes it look a little less smooth and soft.

Style Notes & Slurls

Eyes: Amethyst by Miriel

More cute than elegant, but with plenty of charm and her own kind of sophistication. That could be one way of describing Irene, Lia’s very freckled sister. Though they have much in common, Irene definitely has her very own character too. The freckles, which are plentiful on both face and upper décolletage, have a large part in this, but there are also marked differences in the mouth (I think I may slightly prefer Irene’s over Lia’s) and the nose shading.

Like Lia, she comes with quite a few makeup options. Her range of natural makeups may be a little larger, which suits a freckled skin quite nicely, so I am showing two of the subtle makeups together with two more showy options. I quite like how the stronger makeups give her a very different feel from the natural ones. Her brows, too, are modifiable, and here they have been made lighter to better suit the paler hair. I think she could be quite a treat for any freckle-lovers out there, and I find that the freckling means I don’t get any of the sense as with Lia that the face isn’t shaded exactly the same way as the body.

Imagen skins are priced at L$ 995 for a single skin, and packs of four are discounted 25%. Rack also offers the option of picking together your own pack of four, which is always a great option to have if you like to wear a lot of different skins or skin tones. Unlike the male skins, I believe the female have been out for a while, but that’s no reason not to check them out now. With so many new skin releases all the time, skins risk being forgotten pretty quickly, and that’s a shame because there are some real gems out there.
