Ophelia’s Passion

As I logged in this morning, I found one notice that at first made me grumble and then—upon some further investigation—made me ask Ran for some money. You see, I thought I had missed out on a chance to get one of the new, limited edition recolours of the Ophelia gown from Evie’s Closet. But, as I teleported over there as soon as I logged on (fortunately, I was dressed already), I found that the last batch released had not yet sold out. In fact, I even got to choose between the Passion and the Poison.

Style Notes & Slurls

Skin: Faith Light Group exclusive by Tuli
Hair: Amy III Black by Jolie Femme
Clothes: Ophelia Passion Limited Edition by Evie's Closet
Accessories: Bloom Black Onyx by Flirt, City Sandals Black by Adam n Eve
Poses: LAP

In the end, the Passion won out. Its a lovely burgundy red, or deep raspberry, with the same lovely floral details as on the original Ophelia gowns. I had been tempted by those too, though pastels are usually not my thing and while the black tempted me (and still does), I have an awful lot of black gowns.

One of the hallmarks of Evie’s designs is the work that goes into the shape and the flex of the skirt. It really makes them stand out from most other gowns. I am also a fan of how she uses transparent layers at the top of the skirt for an ethereal feel. The texturing, too, is lovely, very rich and sumptuous.

I paired the skin with the Bloom jewellery from Flirt and yesterday’s group gift from Tuli, an exclusive makeup of the new Faith skin. I had been uncertain about the lips on this skin, as they work best with lip settings that are bigger than what I tend to prefer. However, I tried it on a new shape that I have been working on for a skin that is currently in beta (shh), and I am quite liking the result.

The limited edition recolours of Ophelia, Passion and Poison (a purple colour), include all three versions of the Ophelia gown for L$ 850. A great price for a limited edition gown of such quality and with all these options. In fact, it is cheaper than the standard edition, as the regular Ophelia gowns sell for L$ 600 for the ball gown and L$ 300 for the add-on pack with the babydoll and tea-length gowns. At the time of me posting this, there were still gowns available of each colour, so if you want something a bit exclusive, do make your way over to Evie’s Closet to check them out.
