A Floral Fantasy

From lingerie, swimwear and sexy little outfits to something completely different and more in line with the original intent of this blog (but hey, being flexible is good, right?), namely the latest offering from Laughing Academy. This is a store that I first discovered during a hunt at the Magic of Oz sim, and which I really started paying attention to after a very time-limited sale some time ago where I was lucky enough to snag a couple of stunning gowns for next to nothing. But even at regular prices Laughing Academy delivers great value for your money and many lovely period and fantasy gowns.

Style Notes & Slurls

Skin: Anika Floret by Skin Within
Hair: Emily Copper by Calico Creations
Clothes: Elusyve Enchanted, Elegance and Charm by Laughing Academy
Accessories: City Sandals Forest by Adam n Eve
Poses: LAP

The Elusyve gown is a fantastical creation for a creature (or a lady) of the forest. The colours are earthy and woodsy, and the many decorative floral attachments quite lovely. There are three versions of the gown, which can be bought individually or in a pack containing all three variations. The first is called Charm, for all your fairy needs, the second is the sleek Elegance gown and the third is the opulent Enchanted gown. Even if you only buy one of the outfits you still get options, such as a bodice with or without sleeves and various prim sleeve attachments.

The colours are great, and definitely not something you see every day in Second Life, and the texturing is quite beautiful. The brocade patterning on the skirts needs to be seen up close to be fully appreciated. I am also quite fond of the floral decorations, but if you decide to strip those away you can turn Elegance in particular into something of a unique contemporary gown instead.

Overall, I am very pleased with my decision to pick up the whole pack of this outfit. I must admit, though, that I wasn’t certain at first that I should buy it. I have been on a bit of a spending spree of late, and since I knew I would get the whole pack, I was a little hesitant. But then I realized it would work so beautifully with my lovely Floret makeup for the Anika skin from Skin Within that I just had to have it.
