Fantastical Swimwear

I actually had something else planned—and photoed, though the composition of the photos has yet to be worked out—for my next item, but then I saw a notice from Chaospire about new swimwear. I opened said notice, and I knew I just had to sneak this post in before the other one.

I am also taking this opportunity to show off the Eden skin from Genesis once again. Ryker Beck announced today that four of the eight Eden skin tones will be retired when she releases her next skin, Candace (which, btw, is looking quite promising too), and until they are removed they are on sale at 75% off. That’s L$ 250 per makeup and (I think) L$ 3750 for a fatpack of 20 makeups.

Style Notes & Slurls

Skin: Eden Sesame Saturday by Genesis
Hair: Alicia Night by Truth
Clothes: Melusina Copper by Chaospire
Accessories: City Sandals Steel by Adam n Eve

But before I say I few more words about Eden, a closer look at the Melusina swimsuit from Chaospire, here seen in the gorgeous Copper colour.

Devyn Grimm of Chaospire is perhaps best known for some fantastical and very sexy fantasy clothing, but the store also offers lingerie and swimwear, all of it with the same ornate aesthetics that marks the fantasy wear. As Ran put it, there’s something of an Art Nouveau feel to this piece, though perhaps not as Alphonse Mucha might have envisioned it.

What I find most stunning about Devyn Grimm’s work is perhaps the way shading is used to create a very realistic 3D look. There are pieces in the store that are made to look like metal armour but without the use of any prims. Indeed, there’s a metallic quality to swimsuit as well, though I am quite sure its rust proof.

There is, btw, a sale going on at Chaospire too, with older designs marked down 25% to 50%, so now would be a good time to get acquainted with the store. And speaking of sales and to return to the subject of the skin, the Eden skin tones being retired from Genesis are Ginger, Cinnamon, Sesame and Juniper. The tone shown in this post is Sesame, which I personally think is a very nice darker tone which compliments a lot of the makeups beautifully.
