Shapes, photography and fashion reviews by Ran Garrigus and Freyja Nemeth. This blog has been replaced by the Otherworldly blog.
LivejournalI’ve been eagerly awaiting some more male fashion from Zaara. The first I ever heard of Zaara Kohime was when I saw the Jodhpuri outfit for men reviewed and she had her tiny first store. I ran there straight away and even got a custom color of it done (for an incredibly low price; alas, I’m thinking Zaara’s no longer got time for such custom work at any cost!) The review of that can be found here. Then there were the Pashmina shawls, which I haven’t reviewed, but which I own (note to self: find time to wear them a bit more) and those were certainly very nice, but didn’t quite hit my button for, well, clothes.
And now, at last, there’s clothes. Three cheers!

The Isis shirts for men come in nine delicious colors, purchasable separately, in coordinated fat packs of three colors (Bright, Dark, and Neutral), or in a mega fatpack of all nine colors which I just had to get. Buying fat packs is pretty rare for me—I think I’ve bought them from just four stores in SL, including Zaara—but the colors were just so appealing. Now I know what to wear on those days where I feel like some vivid color. In this picture, I’m wearing the Dark Blue in the special bonus semi-sheer jacket layer (unlike Winter, I don’t have any tattoos to show off, alas).
To compliment it, I’ve got on the Antonio darkwash jeans from Moderno by the late Ginny Talamasca/Devyn Carmichael which, I believe, are no longer available. There’s a Moderno store at Lithium City, but that seems to only have Starley Therain’s contributions to the Moderno men’s line. The glasses are a gift pair I got from Kalnins, who seem to be one of the “It” places for men’s shoes and accessories these days, and the pendant’s a lovely one in my very favorite color that I often wear when I’m dressing modern (instead of historical-flavored, as is my usual M.O.)

The Bright Tan (which is really a very orange sort of color) in the undershirt+underwear layer tucked version. The detailing on this is perfect. I’m particularly fond of the littlest details, like the curl of the collar and the shadow it seems to cast. Can’t forget the shoes, of course… And I can’t say too much about them just yet, other than to say Damen Gorilla dropped them on me one day. Sooner or later he’ll get around to turning out a few colors and putting them on sale, at which point I shall buy them all and hug them and kiss them and call them George.
These shirts are going to be a great addition to any man’s wardrobe, so gentlemen—if you’re reading—or ladies with gentlemen, go over and grab one or three or the whole lot. You won’t be disappointed. The poses used are from LAP.
Great entry, thanks for giving these shirts a more professional review than I ever can! And damn… I want those shoes.
