The Dabel Brothers are on quite a roll since the New York Comic Con: publishing an original Ender’s Game-universe story, announcing a brand new Wild Cards comic book series, the forthcoming release of the Sworn Sword comic adaptation in late Spring/early Summer…

And now this regarding Steven Erikson’s “Malazan Book of the Fallen” series, from Ernst Dabel:

Well my friends, we all knew that this day would come sooner or later.  You’re probably still curious as to what this surprise is, but attached is the first quick concept sketch of Whiskeyjack.  We still have a long ways to go mind you as we’re still only in the very early stages, but step by step and inch by inch Malazan will come alive before our very eyes! So please sit back and enjoy this teaser sketch drawn in five minutes and imagine what it will be like when our eyes finally fall on the fully colored Whiskeyjack and all the other favorite characters we’ve come to love :)

And those of you who know me (The_Khan) by now know my favorite line “Anomander Rake rules!”
