Two Queens

Need a new gown in your Second Life? Then pay a visit to Luminary‘s booth at Mystic Realms Faire and find your favourite(s) from four new releases. I’ll be showing two in this post, both against the backdrop of 22769 ~ [bauwerk] and their Game of Kings gacha from The Gathering.

The first gown is Klara, here in black. This is not a style you see often in SL and I am thrilled to have it. Just look at the puffed and slashed sleeves, that’s just gorgeous. Luminary is really a brand that tries to create things you haven’t seen a hundred times before, so even if there’s a lot of historical/fantasy gowns in SL right now, these stand out because of their uniqueness.

The Thalia hair from Truth is also for Mystic Realms Faire and the crown is included (but separate, so the hair can be worn without it). I love the wild curls of this hair, it looks like something you’d see in a Romantic painting.

The second gown is Caroline, in gold. This one has a nice full skirt and lovely lace trim on the sleeves and the bodice. Its a very regal gown, I think, so I knew I had to use it for my White Queen in these pictures.

The intricate necklace (the same in both pictures, just in different metal and stone combinations) is Emily from aisling for Tales of Fantasy, which opens tomorrow (the 13th).

Both poses are from Musa’s Gown pose sets, which are indispensable for me.

The life-sized chessboard set from 22769 ~ [bauwerk] is a very, very cool idea but it was definitely rather painful to try and get enough pieces together. In the end, I had to settle for an on-going game rather than a starting setup because I simply couldn’t get enough pawns! I’ve got quite the surplus of bishops and knights, however. ;P Each of the chairs does come with sits as well, so you could use them as chairs too, but if you manage to get the ultrarare arena it’d be a shame not to use it. 22769 ~ [bauwerk] is definitely creating some very interesting furniture/prop sets, though I admit I’d like to see more that were straight-up buyable instead of gachas.
