Old Treasures is a fairly newly launched brand which already has released a small but very well-made collection of pieces inspired by history and/or fantasy. For this post, Ran and I selected three pieces to showcase; a wearable for each of us and a piece of furniture. The easiest choice was definitely the throne, released for the GoT-inspired round of Enchantment a while back. It is called the Archon of the Fourteen Flames Throne and well…the company we formed a couple of years ago happens to be called Fourteen Flames. We definitely appreciate it when someone makes pieces inspired by A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones but uses more subtle naming schemes like this.
The throne is very nicely modelled and textures, with a lot of nifty little details. The collection of animations—male, female and unisex sits—is pretty good, though I do think thrones like these could use a set of more regal female animations. I ended up using some old portrait poses for the right mood.
Ran has put together a nice outfit from various pieces by Stitched, probably one of the best brands out there for male roleplay clothing. The piece from Old Treasures is the ornate, curved Khanjar dagger which is unscripted and includes both dagger in the sheath and dagger in the hand.
My wearable pick from Old Treasures was the Elisabeth Brooch which comes with a HUD for texture changing. It was a tough pick between that and the matching necklace, but I don’t actually have a lot of brooches and they do work with a variety of dress styles. A very pretty piece.
