Otherworldly

Easter Maiden

It has not been a good couple of weeks since I last posted, so I have been slow to embrace the change of season and start looking forward to the rest of the year again. But Easter is hard to just ignore (and Easter candy always helps to perk one up), so when a box of adorable new releases showed up from Dysfunctional Designs, I found myself with a bit of inspiration again.

The adorable baby bunny, which comes as a wearable and as a rezzable, will be out from Dysfunctional Designs for April’s round of We Love Role-Play. The bunny’s texture can be changed with a click, allowing you to rez out a whole bunny herd in a variety of colours and patterns.

The butterfly rock will be available at The Neighbourhood for this weekend and like the dragonflies I showed some weeks ago you can control the colour of the butterflies as well as their flight radius. However, instead of having to click the actual butterfly (which turned out to be tricky with the dragonflies), the rock acts like a central controller where you setup number of butterflies, colours and radius. Much easier.

Another new release for We Love Role-Play is the Aurora skin from PXL. I love this pale, slightly ethereal tone and I think this is a really lovely face that suits a fantasy/roleplay event very well as there’s something fey or elven about it. Aurora comes in four makeups (on the skin) and each includes several brow options, among them a no brow skin and a pair of tintable tattoo layer brows. Appliers for Slink and Maitreya are available.

The hair, which combines mesh and good old flexi prims for added curl, is one of those long, lush styles that Analog Dog does so well. Megan, as it is called, is a brand new release and I really like the way it drapes over one side of the face without covering too much in the process. My only quibble is (as usual) the lack of a mix pack—this is a style that I could easily see myself using in a lot of different colours. The headchain and the matching earrings are the Indrani pieces from ieQED which come with a HUD with options for the metal and the stones and the dress is Giulia by the Muses in one of the lovely colours available on its HUD.
