Holiday Preparations

I am in the middle of getting things ready for Christmas in RL, so it certainly seeps into my mood in SL as well. Our cottage from much-missed Alchemy Immortalis was picked as the perfect setting for a cosy scene featuring some new décor from Aisling and Paper Moon as well as a new alaskametro skin, a hair from Tableau Vivant and the last chance on a dress from The Muses.

Available at We Love Role-Play, the dinner table and matching chairs from Aisling are rustic enough to fit into the cottage, yet have enough detailing that they could easily work in a more modern environment as well.  Both the dining set and the matching wooden candle holders are click to texture change and offers a range of wood colours. The chairs come with male, female and unisex sits.

In the background, over the fireplace,  hangs the Winter Solstice drapery from Paper Moon, which comes with a HUD for a range of different textures, all in shades of green and red.

The face belongs to the newest version (2.1) of alaskametro’s skins in the bronze tone. I am really liking the improvements in both the shading and the the tones and I will be taking a closer look at the skin in a dedicated post. The skin is available in four tones right now and includes a wide range of appliers, including for mesh heads. It is being launched at the anyBody event together with a selection of lip colours and eye shadows. I am wearing one of the sheer lipglosses, “rouge”, and also an eyeshadow that Hekate has out at We Love Role-Play, Sunset02.

Finally, also from We Love Role-Play, the Cristal hair is one of two styles by Tableau Vivant at the event. Both have a thick fall of tight curls, but the other style is shorter.

The Innocent dress with gold accents is from the clearance sale by The Muses at the Marketplace. All items are on sale at 50% off and only 20 copies are being sold of each before they are being retired. That means you can pick up some amazing bargains as most gowns come with a HUD that essentially gives you the whole fatpack in one gown.

Both poses are by oOo Studios.
