Body Conscious

If you wear the Slink Physique mesh body, the Slink Visage mesh heads or any of the Slink hands & feet (male or female) you will want to get yourself over to the Slink mainstore to grab the massive updates released yesterday. There are a lot of exiting changes and additions, such as materials being enabled on all layers for all mesh body parts. You can already head over to Adam n Eve to try out some glittery makeups for the mesh heads - and yes, the Visage update also allows for extra makeup layers, so you can mix and match from different creators.

In this picture, I am wearing one of the new materials-enabled eyeshadows and one of the new materials-enabled lipsticks from Adam n Eve.  I am also wearing the Taliya skin in Tone 0A from Adam n Eve, but these makeups will work with the skins from any mesh creator.

The separate layers for the head also means that you can have applier hairbases, applier eyebrows and other customisations, making mesh head skins much more versatile all of a sudden.

The body update also includes materials-enabled layers (if you look closely, there’s glitter from Adam n Eve added on the nipples), but for me the most exciting changes are without a doubt the tweaks to the body shape and the improved HUD.

The body shape tweaks have pretty much eliminated the two things I had reservations about; the muscle tone of the arms (it is now much better reflected) and the inner thighs (which now are more curved). There are other tweaks as well, such as to the breast shape and to the bottom.

The HUD now offers a total of 88 alpha slices, giving you much more versatility and making it easier to fit clothes, as well as buttons for saving commonly used alpha configurations. You also have the skins included with the body available right on the HUD itself.

There’s also been a big update to the HUD for the hands & feet; it is now combined into a single HUD which has the added bonus of allowing you to apply different nailpolishes to each nail. You will also be controlling the wrist size from this HUD from now on, cutting back on the clutter of different hands & feet in your inventory.

I really enjoy the updated body, so expect a lot more scantily clad posts from me in the near future. In this case, I am wearing the sexy RoseShibari from deviousMind from the Fantacy Gacha Carnival, where I was lucky enough to come away with the rare that is colour change. The hair is the brand-new Delphine style from Truth for Uber and the shoes are the Embrace Stilettos from Sax Shepherd Designs.
