A few days ago, I received some review copies from a new brand by two established designers, Dream Resistance of Fantasia and Sabina Takakura of Elements. Their new venture, FakE, focuses on mainstream clothes rather than costumes for fantasy roleplay. The latter may be more of my territory, but I do dress casually now and then too.
Skin: Siren Tone 2 Berry by Adam n Eve
Hair: Yesenia MidnightBlack by Bishwear
Clothes: Flutter Top Yellow, Cords Red and Played Dress Black by FakE
Accessories: Yehaw Boots Night by Adam n Eve
I selected three pieces to show today, with two of them combined into one outfit. That would be the summery Flutter Top and the low-waisted Cords.I particularly liked the designs on the side and on the back pockets of the cords. The sculpted flutters on the top can be a little tricky if you’re a bit fuller-figured than your average SL avatar since stretching makes them both wider and taller, but in most cases they should work just fine.
The third piece is the Played dress, a sexy, lace-edged slip dress. Mini-skirt prims with lace aren’t the easiest in the world to line up, but this one worked nicely, and the lace going under the arm also shows good attention to details. The side is not seam-free, which is hard to do with that sort of pattern, but the shading creates quite a good transition even so.
I paired the FakE clothing with a pair of forthcoming Western-inspired, patterned boots from Adam n Eve, the Siren skin which finally has been released and is up on the wall at Adam n Eve and the sexy Yesenia hair from Bishwear.
Judging by the examples from FakE that I’ve seen (including some pieces not shown here), it looks like they will be offering casual clothing that is fun and affordable, mixing a bit of sweet and girly with a bit more of a punky edge to reflect the tastes of both designers.
