Last night, I had an IM from Siyu Suen of Illusions. She wondered if Ran and I would like to blog her upcoming release (its actually out now; we ended up having to sleep before getting the photos done). Having seen some teasers on Plurk, I couldn’t say yes soon enough.
With that, we present Corvus, for men and women. Read on for further details and take a good look at the photos of this amazing release.

There’s something wonderfully haunting about these two sets, something that puts you in mind of dark fairy tales (and, indeed, Siyu has even written a story to go with the outfits). When I first saw the previews I also came to think of a wonderfully dark fantasy novel called Maledicte by Lane Robins (highly recommended), so of course we went looking for a sim that would fit this mood.

What we found was Dracul. Its a roleplaying sim with a twisted, foreboding landscape, and as long as you avoid disturbing any roleplay it provides some excellent photo opportunities.

Now, for some details about the Corvus sets. First, the Corvus gown. I am wearing the bustled skirt, and there’s also a skirt without the bustle included. The gown can of course be worn both with and without the various attachments, making it more or less costumey, and you don’t have to buy the full set if you don’t want to. But why wouldn’t you? The bird mask is absolutely stunning and the feather texture on both the wings and the gown is wonderful. Plus, I really like the wrist attachments and the shoulder feather. Siyu doesn’t make a lot of clothing, but that sure doesn’t show.

The setup for the boys is much the same, but they get a very stylish four piece suit instead of a gown. In the upper body shot, all the pieces of the suit are worn but in the full body shot you can see just the vest and the shirt. The feather theme is carried through the texturing here as well, but just as on the gown you could wear the suit without the wings and the mask for a gothic but not fully costumed look.
Ran decided on wearing the Cavalier boots from Illusions with the suit, but it also comes with sculpted pant legs for wearing with shoes.
