A Chilly Flirt

This morning, I received review copies of ~flirt~‘s latest set, the Esprit De Neige. This time of the year, I am always wishing for snow, but since it looks like the real thing will be in short supply this year too (blasted global warming robbing me of the proper Christmas feeling) I will just have to settle for some virtual snowflakes. In this case, some very pretty virtual snowflakes.

I’ve paired the jewellery with a new-ish gown from SF Design and the lovely Adore 2 skin from Adam n Eve. And if the skin appeals to you, you should get over there right away to pick up your very own Valued Client Card. Its a new system, just introduced by sachi and Damen, that will let customers earn points on qualifying purchases which then can be used to shop for once enough has been gained. Essentially, you get a bonus for shopping there, and you can also buy points to add to the cards to use them as gift cards.

Style Notes & Slurls

Skin: Adore 2 t1 Silvery by Adam n Eve
Hair: Bad Hair Day Charcoal by Adam n Eve
Dress: Courtesan Silver by SF Design-SL
Jewellery: Esprit De Neige by Flirt

The Esprit De Neige range includes drop earrings, a choker, bracelets and a pair of rings. Each piece comes in two versions, with and without glow, and the pieces utilize a script for easy resizing. For jewellery, I am all for this sort of script, because it makes it so much easier to resize things evenly.

The most striking feature of this jewellery is perhaps the delicacy of the prims, which really echoes the frail beauty of a snowflake. This is further emphasized by the texturing, which does a great job of getting across the feel and appearance of cold, crystalline snow. The earrings, in particular, are very lovely. Do make sure to look at the larger version of the image, to get a better look at all the pieces.

The gown is the Courtesan gown in silver (it also comes in gold). It comes with two different skirts (this is the slimmer version of the bustle), the option to wear the corset top with and without the little lace shrug and also a pair of shoes (not shown). I am really liking the almost metallic look of the corset.

I think both the jewellery and the gown are very well complemented by the Adore skin in this rather cool makeup. Overall, I think Adore can be used to create a very refined and elegant appearance.

I should also mention that a small taste of the Esprit de Neige jewellery can be had from ~flirt~‘s contribution to the Peace on Earth hunt, which contains a different set of earrings and a pendant (one for women and one for men). These pieces can only be had through the hunt, so get yourself over to their store to look for the globe. And, of course, make sure to check out the full range of Esprit De Neige jewellery.
