Having just found a shape, skin, and hair combination that I can’t quite get enough of just yet, I thought I’d make the best of it and use it for a review. This time, my focus is on Valiant menswear and a new(ish) Japanese jewelry design store, Mandala.

I decided to share three quick looks from one of SL’s premiere clothing stores for men, Valiant, after a bit of .... well, a wild shopping spree; it’s not a lie to say I probably own half the store now. Valiant was closed for awhile as they renovated and prepared to launch a massive collection of new clothing, and I must say, the new store build and the new clothes are fantastic. Wavie Haller has a sharp sense of design and fashion, obviously.
First up, the black jacket—perfect for a rainy day—with the new “Shirt n Waistcoat” underneath and the new black dress pants. Terrific work, with an excellent sculpted collar and that cool little chain hanging from the jacket belt which is a detail I just love. I wouldn’t mind seeing a different approach to the sculpted pant cuffs, though, as I find them a bit tricky to get right; a very minor issue, though. The M111 shoes from Adam n Eve seemed like the perfect fit. Better still, next to it is the new shirt and waistcoat, with a whole heap of layers, plus two ties (shown here is the silver tie) and a no tie option; I’m quite the fan of waistcoats and vests, and these are at terrific addition to any wardrobe. The shirt cuffs are fairly straightforward prims but quite well-done, Here I’m wearing it with the Grey cord dress pants, which are some of my favorites along with the Brown cord pants.
And finally, for something a bit different, the casual dress boardies are part of a fairly large collection of swimwear at the store. I don’t mind showing the abs the Jonathan skin from Adam n Eve packs, as they’re certainly very impressive. Just as impressive, however, is the Soul2 jewelery set (which comes with female and male-sized components) from Mandala, a relatively new Japanese shape and jewelry shop by kikonosuke Eel, one of the creators of the beautiful Tempura Island sim. There’s an amazing array of sculpted jewelry designs at the store, including some unisex or male options, and Soul2 just leapt out at me. The necklace is truly beautiful.
Valiant and Mandala are two stores to keep an eye on; stylish and always interesting, an SL guy isn’t likely to go far wrong by doing so.
