Very Fishy

When I went to Zaara to check out the new summer release (featured in my immediately previous review), Zaara’s store manager Strawberry Singh was there with Delora Starbrook of Haven Designs. Somehow, they concluded I’d look great in fishnet. “Hrm,” I wondered, but I wasn’t to wonder for long when Delora dropped the folder on me with an outfit she had made. She also gave me an injunction about wearing only part of it…

Well, I listened to what Delora said about not wearing anything but the top, especially after I looked at the picture included in the folder. However, SL decided to be a bit of a laggard just then and I couldn’t get the shirt to bake. It had to wait for later. And since it was waiting for later… well, maybe I should just make a full outfit of it. Certainly, the mesh fishnet shirt works well for a sort of .. uh ... rave or club or something look, right? And then mixing it up with something a bit more ... punk? Rock? Both? That could look good, right? Yeah, that’s the ticket.

The Mick pants are really very well-textured, and if pink’s a rather bold color for a guy, well, so’s a fishnet top. The tartan sneakers, which are a real steal as part of a five pair package on Xstreet (previously reviewed), also fit the outfit well. The cuff from Eish is quite well-textured, and is fact pretty much all sculpted which gives the spikes a nice curve to them, while this more ornate cuff from PERTURB/ation always appealed to me when I got it at one of the hunts on the Japanese mall sim, Albero. I’m not sure if it was a one-off hunt gift or if there’s a version on sale.

Of course, you’ll wonder what the whole Haven Designs outfit (which is a fine example of what Delora creates, and is a current lucky board and mobvend prize) looks like. Well, first, it’s not… uhm. It’s not meant for guys, right? Haven makes lovely Gorean wear, especially rather revealing camisks, and this suits. But, in the interest of journalistic integrity… well. No further comments necessary, right?

Yeah, didn’t think so. ;)

Haven Designs makes lovely, sexy Gorean clothing that’s usually intended for women. But, well, maybe a guy can squeeze himself into one of these when he’s downed enough booze or is on the verge of heat stroke and thus of unsound mental faculties. Oh, and the top is quite nice for the right sort of dance party, certainly.
