It’s not often that we get a chance to indulge in buying jewelry (well, not me at least). So when we saw the Alchemy Immortalis jewelry on the feeds… well. First we wondered how we missed hearing about their opening (right around the end of April), and then we wondered who could get there and find the jewelry the quickest. First, the Alchemy Immortalis sim is quite atmospheric and beautiful, and there’s a lot on offer there besides jewelry: there’s some unique harpsichords, scripted and sculpted candles, and apparently a cottage and other pretties are in the works.

But it’s the jewelry that brought us over, and it’s the jewelry that we’re showing off. I thought the Marauder costume from RFyre really suited the Aix-la-Chapelle talisman medallion that I’m wearing here. How much does it cost, you ask? Nothing! It’s the gift for joining the HippoGroup, and it’s really quite stunning. Although not scripted or moddable, it comes in three sizes, so should fit most avatars without difficulty. It’s only a taste of what’s to come, however.
The packaging they use for their items is also quite unique, beautifully textured bottles, decanters, and so on that they indicate can be used as props and decorative objets d’art in their own right.
Rings:
Sephira Trinity signet ring by Alchemy Immortalis
Wytlesey Solitare signet ring by Alchemy Immortalis
There are two primary ring designs currently available from Alchemy Immortalis, and they’re both really quite amazing. Inspired by medieval or Renaissance rings, the Sephira signet rings (shown above) come in three flavors: Solitaire (with one stone), Trinity (three stones, as in the image above), and Heirophant (five stones). As with all Alchemy Immortalis jewelry, there are no less than five metal colors to choose from and four different stone types so far. The Sephira Trinity ring allows the central stone to be changed independently of the flanking stones, as well as being able to turn the “binding” sigil on and off as one desires. You can also see in the image that the detail of the setting can be changed from ornate (shown left) and a plainer, classic style (shown right). The rings are somewhat more expensive as you add stones, but the price increase is quite modest.
Another nice touch is the fact that the setting and the band can have different metal colors, as shown below with the Wytlesey Solitare signet ring. The band texturs are especially striking, with a great amount of detail worked into them. The rings are quite fully scripted, also featuring resize scripts that can be scrubbed once you have a ring sized to your pleasure. And besides all that, all jewelry from Alchemy Immortalis includes auto-updating for any future upgrades. One is already hinted at: the “binding” sigils will eventually expand to include more symbols, each with their own meaning.

Slipping into Ran’s post to cover the jewellery from a female perspective, I knew first of all that I had to pair it with some great medieval outfits. After poking around in my inventory for a bit, my choice fell on De Fleur. I went off to pick up a recent release, Maid Margaret, and then I also pulled out Royal Red and Emily from my folder of De Fleur designs.
I believe these two are also still available at Natalia Basiat’s store, and though I am not sure if the specific cloak worn with Emily is still around, she does have some other cloaks for when you want to feel especially regal. There’s definitely a great variety of medieval and/or fantasy designs to choose from at De Fleur, from simpler dresses to outfits worthy of a queen. Many outfits also come with multiple options for tops and skirts, and with various add-ons such as undershirts and veils.

The star of this post, however, is the stunning jewellery. To the left is the Sephira Cabochon Necklace and Teardrop Earrings. The earrings are a promotional item, L$ 10 for three pairs of delicate cabochon earrings, and I bought the necklace to match. The cabochon-cut stones are wonderful, and so very true to medieval jewellery. Like the rings shown by Ran, the earrings and the necklace are scripted for six metals and three types of stones, and on the necklace the stones change in three different sets.
In the middle we have the stunning group gift already shown by Ran, the Aix-la-Chapelle Talisman, and another pair of the Sephira earrings. As you can see, the impressive necklace works perfect on both male and female avatars.
Finally we have the brooch (another promotional item at L$ 10) and the very delicate vine earrings from the Ami Amet Deli Pencet series. The flowery motif on these pieces is stunning and I think you can almost see how the metal has been beaten into shape. Both pieces feature a shadow prim for added realism.
My skin, btw, is once again the lovely Elizabeth from Blowpop, currently available at 60% off. This natural makeup is perfect together with period clothing.
Alchemy and Immortalis Cyannis are clearly very talented, accomplished creators with a unique vision and perspective. Some may raise a brow at some of the information they share at their official site, Alchemy Immortalis. They have a great response to this, which we stumbled across while exploring the sim: “We relish realism and attention to detail. We infuse our work with magical intentions, using sigils, rituals, phases of the moon, and planetar hours. But if you’re not into that… We make everything pretty.”
Indeed, they do.
