This blog has broadened its outlook since we started it, but I remain thrilled when I find some new period clothing to review.
Right next to Fantasia, which I featured recently, is another store with various outfits inspired by both fantasy and history. This time, I passed by the various silks and other Gorean outfits, and picked up today’s new release: Ella.
Skin: Natalia Alyona by Skin Within
Hair: Embrace Cinnamon by Analog Dog
Clothes: Ella Green by Elements

Seem here in this lovely green, Ella is a medieval-inspired gown with some rather pretty and interesting details. The drapery around the waist caught my attention, as did the capelet worn about the neck as well as the headscarf (which, as it happened, was shown on the very same hair in the ad that I was wearing anyway).
I was pleasantly surprised by the fit of the skirt (I had expected to need to stretch it for the drapery to show at all), and although the headscarf and capelet did need some adjusting it was accomplished pretty easily. I think the sleeve prims are a little on the dark side (and they don’t appear to be tinted), but otherwise the prims and the textures match up well. I quite like the shading on the bodice; its subtle, but gets the point across.
While most medieval-inspired outfits available on the grid might not exactly be entirely historical, there’s still a decent selection available if you fancy dressing up in that style. However, there’s no such thing as “enough”, so I’d certainly love to find more creators to check out. But more importantly, there really needs to be more medieval-inspired menswear, so Ran too can have something along these lines to review.
