Glowing Goodies

Both Ran and I have been rather lax about blogging lately, though hardly lax about shopping. However, we’ve spent entirely too much time taking photos for various contests and posting to our Flickr accounts (for the curious, here’s mine and here’s his) instead of actually reviewing the goodies. But today I’ve got a little something for the blog, in the form of a particularly fantastical jewellery set from Tekeli-li.

Style Notes

Skin: Stella di Roccia Vibrant Tones: Ice by PixelSpa
Hair: Natalia Black by Truth
Outfit: Janet by Last Call (no longer available)
Accessories: Plasma by Tekeli-li

The Plasma set is more steampunk or cyberpunk than fantasy, and in the place of gems there are pulsing crystals and clear tubes through which glowing gasses appear to flow when the options for pulsing and glow are turned on and when the jewellery is viewed with Windlight glow enabled (which was the case when we took these photos). But even without that its a fantastical looking set, which I found completely changed the look and attitude of my avatar when I put it on.

As all Tekeli-li sets, it comes scripted for colour changes (you can change both the metal and the ‘gems’, and the latter change in two separate sections) and as mentioned it is also scripted to turn various other visual enhancements on and off. Scripting also allows you to hide portions of the multi-piercing earrings and, which has to be my favourite part, raise and lower the lens on the headpiece. The set consists of a headpiece, a necklace, a pair of earrings and two bracelets. Since this set works just as well for male as for female avatars, it comes with some of the pieces premade in a regular and a large size, but it is also both copy and mod.

I paired the jewellery with a hair I picked up while Truth still had the sale going (now the new hair textures are out and the prices are back to normal), an old Last Call outfit and another new purchase, the gorgeous Ice skin from Stella di Roccia. Its part of a series of vibrant skins, amazingly affordable at only 150 lindens per skin.

If this amazing piece of jewellery isn’t enough to tempt you to drop by Tekeli-li, why not stop by there just to check out the stunning caves beneath the store. There’ll undoubtedly be some pictures featuring this great build in our respective Flickrs soon. And if you are a 7Seas fan, Tekeli-li has just installed a fishing spot deep within the caves, and added some very cool custom prizes to the things you can catch (including some neat pieces of jewellery).
