Dangerous Beauty

As I popped over to check out Calla’s new store this morning, I ran into Tekelili Tantalus of Tekeli-li. Just the other day he released his latest set of fantasy jewellery, and he made me a very happy girl by giving me a copy of the full set. I guess that means I’ll catch up on some of the older releases that I don’t have yet instead with the funds intended for that purchase. ;) Alternatively, I’ll see if I can’t persuade Ran to let me buy him a copy of the new set too, because unlike past Tekeli-li releases this one is intended as a unisex set. As such, it includes two sizes of the bracelets and the choker.

Product Details

Skin: Zarya NoMakeup by Skin Within
Hair: Delphinium (retextured) by Calla
Outfit: Crochet Black by Adam n Eve
Accessories: Nemesis by Tekeli-li; Catalyst Boots by The Abyss

The set is named after Nemesis, one of the Greek goddesses of vengeance, and the idea is that it is an assassins jewellery set, in which poisons can be stored and which provides ways of using said poisons on an unsuspecting target. I decided that the very naughty Crochet silk from Adam n Eve would be a great outfit to wear with it, since surely an assassin dressed up in such a fashion would be able to distract the intended target. ;) Plus, it shows off a lot of the lovely Zarya skin from Skin Within, which appropriately enough is Ayesha’s Greek skin.

Do make sure, btw, to click on the images to get the larger versions, which will show all the intricate detailing of the jewellery.

The Nemesis set consists of a choker, a pair of bracelets and a pair of earrings. Like all Tekeli-li jewellery, it is scripted to change colour (which means that for a very low price, you get an intricate set of jewellery that you can match to any outfit when it comes to colours) and the earrings are also scripted to allow you to decide how many of them you want to show. I decided to show off the whole row of earrings, for a very exotic and edgy look. The little spikes incorporated into the design really do look like needles that you could stick someone with.

Finally, here we have a better look at one of the two matching bracelets. I colour the set up with some fairly strong contrasting colours, so that it would show up against the black, but there’s a myriad of other combinations available. This set changes colour in four sections, allowing for two different metal colours and two different gemstone colours. It also allows you to utilize the glow option in Windlight.

How’s that for a bit of dangerous jewellery? I can see the design working well not just for fantasy but also for other styles, and I really do think it can work well for both male and female avatars. Apparently there will be more unisex releases from Tekeli-li in the future, so male avatars who want more jewellery to choose from should keep an eye on the store. This, btw, is now easier than before, as a group has been added for this purpose. Definitely something to join if you like what’s on offer in the store.
