A Bit of Magic

I was trying to be a good girl yesterday (at least in terms of not spending all my hard-earned Lindens too impulsively), but we all know what happens to good intentions, right? In this case, mine took wing and flew out the window as soon as I saw the forum post announcing a new jewellery set from Tekeli-li. Off I went to check out the new offering, and moments later I was teleporting back home with a much higher ARC than when I arrived. Oops. ;)

Product Details

Skin: Lustre Dark Red Onyx by Pixel Deep
Hair: Vivian (retextured) by ETD
Outfit: Innocent Dans L’amour Burgundy by PixelDolls
Accessories: Louhi by Tekeli-li

Of course, I couldn’t just show off the jewellery with nothing else on. Well, I suppose I could have, technically, since all my pixels have already been seen on this blog, but why not take the opportunity to show something else that’s pretty? In this case, its the gown from Innocent Dans L’amour by PixelDolls. As with most everything from PixelDolls, the texturing is incredibly lush. I also love how you often find pieces there that blend what is currently fashionable with elements of period clothing and fantasy clothing. A lot of the time, I like to wear things in SL that I probably wouldn’t wear in RL (though, mostly because full ball gowns are both impractical and a wee bit costly), but most of the things I get from PixelDolls are things I’d love to have for real as well.

Next up, the star of the show, the jewellery. I strongly suggest, btw, opening up the larger versions of these images by clicking them. The jewellery is so amazingly intricate. This set, Louhi, apparently takes its name from the name of a Finnish witch, and there’s certainly something magical about it. Like all of Tekeli-li’s sets, its intricate, artistic and versatile. It changes colour in three sections, two separate metal sections and then the gemstones, and you can also turn on Windlight glow on the gems for a bit of extra magic. The set includes headpiece, earrings, necklace (and collar), bracelets (and cuffs). You are able to buy separate pieces as well as the whole set, but when the whole set is less than 400 lindens, I can’t think of many reasons not to go for the whole thing.

I can’t wait to see what will be coming up next from Tekeli-li. I am hoping for yet more amazing pieces to wear whenever I want to feel particularly magical. For those of you who haven’t checked the store out before, you should hop right over and take a look. There’s something for everyone.
