For the last few days, I have been sauntering about in rather less than what one probably ought to wear in public, but I simply have had too much fun wearing the new Crochet silks from Adam n Eve to take them off unless I am going somewhere .... well, respectable. ;)
Now, silks from Adam n Eve are generally of a style than you can wear in most areas, as they tend to feature full skirts and tops that amount to a bit more than pasties. The Crochet silk is from a similar cut, with one of the four bottom-half options being a full skirt (the other are a mini-skirt, a loin-cloth style skirt and harem pants), but as the name suggest the material isn’t all that covering.

In fact, as you can see here, there are probably more holes than material. ;) But that is what makes it so delightfully naughty as well as very pretty. The crochet is a really appealing look, and I hope to see more of lace and crochet in other releases, but I can understand why you don’t see a lot of it on SL. It must have been anything but easy to make sure the pattern matched up and to avoid it stretching too much.
The option seen here is the loin-cloth skirt in the cream-gold colour (probably my overall favourite, not the least because its so flattering to most skintones), worn with the top, the bows for the arms, the centre bow, the panties and the tied belt. Its the least covering of the four options, so of course I had to show that one off. Even so, however, I still feel more dressed—and certainly more interestingly dressed—than in a lot of silks. I also think there’s something about it that gives it a bit of a wild and exotic flair.

The second option I decided to show off (partly a coincidence, since the shots of the mini-skirt and the full skirt didn’t come out quite right) is the harem pants, here seen in the black. I think the black instantly changes the look of the silk, making it more edgy and sexy as opposed to the flirtier nature of the cream-gold.
This option is worn more or less the same way, except that the panties are exchanged for full-length pants and the loin-cloth for the harem pant prims. You’re relatively well covered on the bottom in this option, though the top still reveals quite a bit. Getting a demo of this set first is probably a good idea if you want to get a feel for if it leaves too much uncovered or not.
Overall, Crochet is a pretty, well-made and innovative silk that I think is fun to have in your inventory even if you don’t need it for roleplaying purposes. Its great for teasing a bit, and for daringly walking around looking dressed but still showing off quite a bit. Of course, that’s best kept to sims that appreciate such things and a male escort is probably not a bad idea. ;) For my own part, I’ve had quite a bit of fun taking pictures in this set, and a few of the shots have made it into my Flickr account, in case anyone wants to see more of it (beware the naked pixels, however).
