By now, I guess most people have noticed that there’s a Skin Fair going on, hosted by Vanity Universe. However, as has been noted, publicity for the event in the weeks leading up to it could have been better. Still, the sim couldn’t really squeeze in more visitors most of the time, so it seems to be doing pretty well. What may be lacking at this stage, though, is some insight into which designers have launched new things at the fair, are having sales or even giving away freebies. With all the lag up there, its easy enough to miss a sign in someone’s booth. So, I am going to attempt to put together an overview. But I can’t precisely claim to know everything there is to know about skins and skinmakers in SL, so I’d love it if people want to submit information about any new launches, sales or freebies that I haven’t yet listed. I’ll keep updating the list as necessary, so keep checking back.

In closing, I'd like to encourage everyone to do two things. First, look around (as lag permits, but it will no doubt get better later in the month) and don't just head straight for the freebies. There are plenty of good skin designers at the fair, and if you don't already have all of their demos in your inventory, now is a good time to collect a bunch and set aside some time to try them on (in a less laggy place). Secondly, while this fair may have had some teething problems, the organisers have the ambition to put together more fairs in the future, and these will no doubt run more smoothly. But for that to be possible they'll need your support (as we all know, sims aren't cheap, and the booth space is free for all of the designers), so do consider dropping some lindens into their donation box.
The new Gala skins were released for the fair and are absolutely drool-worthy. For La Sylphide, I released the Ingrid skin for the fair. I think that Wax Poetic launched some skins there too but don’t quote me on that :)

There is a little mistake about DREAMY SKINS.
He sell in the first two days a original bodyoil for one linden.
Actuelly he sell it for 19 Linden. Since yesterday he sell eyes also for 19 Linden.

Oh, just saw on your blog, Nadja, that you have an image there showing the layout of the sim with the booths numbered.
Do you also have a list of which designer is in which booth? That would be really great for people to have.

I launched Timeless Couture at the fair (it was designed specificaly for the fair and is exclusively there till close). Also the skin I wore to the show is avail for a whole huge linden!!!

You’re the second one to mention that Digit Darkes has a freebie at the fair, but I’ve been to that booth on two different occasions and waited 30mins to make sure everything rezzed… and I’m not seeing it. :-\

It does look like the Digit Darkes freebie was removed, so I dropped it from the list.
Chai’s gift card promotion isn’t exclusive to the skin fair, is it? I seem to recall its an offer that always is available, but I could be wrong.
