A Statement and Hearty Pretties

Before I move on to some pretty pictures of the gorgeous Valentine’s special from Adam n Eve and the stunning Airen set from Alienbear, I feel I need to comment on another matter to keep people from potentially getting the wrong impression of us. Yesterday, Ran and I were taking part in the big Valentine’s hunt that has been all over the blogs these last few days. Everything went as expected until we got to to Style Your Destiny, where we found that we had been banned.

Now, since I don’t think either of us has actually been in the store before and since our only contact with the owner has been via this blog entry, we can only assume that the person in question banned us because a) she didn’t like being disagreed with, b) she didn’t like it that I was offended by some of her remarks and told her so, c) she thinks that I have plans to copy her whole store because I disagreed with her on the matter of making hair no modify or d) a combination of some or all of the previous reasons.

Of course, she has every right to ban whoever she wants and for whatever reasons, but in case someone takes a look at the ban list at her store we didn’t want anyone to think we had actually done something nefarious. Other than, you know, disagree with her. Personally, I think its a pretty unprofessional response from someone running a business, but that’s just my opinion. I will note that I have banned her from commenting on this blog, as I have no interest in engaging in further discussion about this matter with her.

Now, on to the pretties.

Skin: Grazia t2 Sultry by Adam n Eve
Hair: Vivian (retextured) by ETD
Outfit: Decollage Black by Adam n Eve
Accessories: Oriental Airen Black Pearl by Alienbear

How is that for a sexy Valentine’s dress? I love the silky, slinky feel of dress, the plunging neckline and the gorgeous belt, which resized very easily to fit my somewhat curvier avatar. The only problem with this dress is deciding whether to wear the red or the black version. I opted for the black here mainly to match the jewellery, but the red is definitely equally gorgeous.

As it is a limited Valentine’s edition (though it will be coming out in a regular version too), you’ll want to make your way over to Adam n Eve sooner rather than later if it takes your fancy.

Oh, and btw, the pose used here is one of Ran’s. I’d say he’s learning a thing or two.

While I was taking a break from the Valentine’s hunt yesterday, I hopped over to Alienbear’s member discount shop to pick up the Oriental Airen set that I had had my eye on for a while. I finally decided I just had to have it to go with the dress. ;)

Once I got it on, I was very pleased with my purchase. I have a few Alienbear sets from before, from lucky chairs and from her big sale a few months ago, but this one may be my favourite so far. Its really striking and just the right size to fill up a generous neckline.

Of course, I managed to not use the gift card I had left, so I imagine I will have to pick up another colour (probably the red coral) to make sure to use the card as well. ;)

While I don’t expect to be celebrating Valentine’s (its not at all a big thing here in Sweden), I definitely plan to get some mileage out of this outfit. For starters, I think it will be what I am wearing to Fleur’s party tonight. For a short while, anyway, until people have to start cutting back on prims to keep the lag from getting to bad. ;)
