Corsets are undoubtedly a weakness of mine in SL. Lately there’s been a few attempts at producing a corset that gets closer to simulating the very cinched-in waist of a tight RL corset by using sculpted prims together with invisiprims. The latest such attempt comes from Silent Sparrow, where hyasynth Tiramisu of late has been adding some interesting prim pieces (and jewelry, even) to her repertoire.
For this look at her prim corset, I’ve paired it with another weakness of mine and another new release; a lovely long and flowing hair with beautiful flexi curls and no bangs from Jolie Femme.
It seems to be the season for new hair textures, as both Tiny Bird and Exile have launched whole new texture lines for their hairs. I am really liking the overall look and the colours from both designers, and in both cases I feel they’re softer and richer. Exile, in particular, has really improved the reds, plus made some colour packs that are very excellent value for money.
Sexy new hair and sexy new lingerie, does it get better than that? Whether or not Valentine’s is on your mind (it really isn’t on mine, its not a big thing here at all), there’s always room for more of such goodies. And this week its provided by, amongst others, Magika and Insolence.
How about some romantic new makeups for sachi Vixen’s Portia skin, some charming new lingerie courtesy of LoveLace, aka Launa Fauna and Nephilaine Protagonist, three great new hairs from three different creators (LeLutka, Analog Dog and Truth) and a lovely set of heart-themed jewelery from Eolande?
Musashi-Do is aiming to be the de-facto choice for men’s suits in Second Life. Certainly, the dynamic creator behind the store has been releasing a dizzying amount of suits, all of high quality, together covering a range of the sort of uses one would put a suit from casual to business to formal. The latest entry is Firenza Blues, for the businessmen out there in SL.
A new hair from Wasabi Pills is always a pleasure. Especially when worn alongside a new acquisition from a store that I’ve never purchased anything from before—and that delay was unconscionable, to say the least!
Some new acquisitions that I have to share, in my constant quest to find items that suit period sort of looks. An old friend—RFyre—and something new—Shag—come together in what I think is a pretty excellent look. Along the way, I have to plug an excellent free item from a brilliant designer, and plug a fun event in Second Life that many, many people are scampering all ‘round the grid to enjoy.
I may have mentioned my passion for curly hairs in SL once or twice before. Its a somewhat dangerous addiction, leading me to making purchases that I’d normally shy away from. But there’s just something about a really well-done curly (and flexi, this is of key importance) hair, like this one from Detour, that makes me go ‘ah, what the heck, I’ll get it anyway’. More about this and the new Elymode release behind the cut.
The sexy Ignition lingerie from Fishy Strawberry was all over the feeds yesterday when it was out for this week’s 50 L Friday. I am hoping it will show up in more colours, and so is Ran. For now, though, the red was perfect to wear for this look at a lovely new Analog Dog hair as well as for this shameless teaser of a forthcoming skin.
I’ve been very lax in my blogging duties of late, but I’ll try to improve, promise! Here’s a look at two of the latest hairs out of Wasabi Pills, who are making some very interesting unisex hairs these days.
I am probably more of a skin addict than a hair addict, at least when compared to a lot of other female avatars on SL. That said, there are some styles of hair that are immediate must-haves. Long and curly or wavy styles, for example. I am a serious flexi-curl addict, and one shop that regularly feeds my addiction is Jolie Femme. My latest acquisition from there is Marianne, a brand new release.
I am also wearing Zaara’s new lingerie and again the new Sasha skin from Adam n Eve, and do read on to learn about an L$ 100 special makeup for Sasha.
This naughty little look sort of fell in place over the last two days. It started with the new hair release from 69 yesterday, which contained several styles that caught my eye. Then sachi dropped some new lovely, lush fall make-ups for Amanda and Natasha on me. And this morning I logged in to find the notecard detailing the new releases from Sn@tch, which included a new set of bloomers paired with a partially sheer top. Guess who ran over there right off?
I really wanted to wear the lovely Varda roses from Illusions for another post, and while I don’t really need a specific excuse to do so, it doesn’t hurt to have one. Like one of the new hairs from Exile, Jenna, which just happens to go just as well with the roses as that lovely Samantha hair from Truth. But even after I had rushed off to buy it, I found myself indecisive about what else to wear. That is, until the XStreet sale on PixelDolls packs was announced.
Skin and Shape Expo is entering its last days, and it’s a great time to hop on over and browse. It’s been a wonderful experience to see so many excellent skin and shape designers on one sim, and—
Yo, Taylor. I’m really happy for you…
When Wasabi Pills announced their latest hair, Ahiga, I thought it was pretty interesting for a variety of reasons and was thinking of dropping by to get a demo at some point. However, the proprietress anticipated me, dropping me a review pack. What can I say? This is one of the most unique hairs I’ve ever seen in Second Life.
