Ringo

Ringo came to us in October of 2006, at the age of 8 weeks and a few days. Our previous boxer, Lillen, had left us a little over a month ago. He was our third dog, our second pure boxer, and we had been uncertain about whether we would be getting another dog after him. But in the end, we decided to. We looked at breeders in the region at first, but none had any puppies due right then. We did, however, find several possible litters a bit further away. Eventually, we narrowed the choice down to two breeders. The first litter were all fawn-coloured whereas the second one were all brindles. And they were all absolutely adorable, making the decision very tough.

Eventually, however, we ended up with a little dark-faced, brindled boy from Riddles. My parents, who went to see both litters, picked him because he was so quiet and affectionate, since we didn’t want to end up with a very dominant dog. We are now all in agreement that he fooled them quite soundly. He’s not at all dominant towards other dogs, but at the moment there’s no doubt about who is in charge at home. Obedience is very much a work in progress, and woe us whenever he gets bored.
